Anne Bullock, born in London, trained at Walthamstow Art College, where she was awarded a Royal Society of Arts bursary. Anne studied fine art and design for a further three years at the Central School of Art in London, gaining a Diploma. She worked as a textile designer in London and in Bristol.

Although her paintings are mostly figurative, her vision is informed by her work as a designer, using flat areas of colour, bold shapes and pattern.
